Stieg - Ernest

Ernest Stieg was born on April 26, 1816, and died on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1894 of heart failure. He was well and hearty until 2 o'clock, when he said he was feeling badly, and at 3 he passed away. He died at the house of his step-son, Warner W. Felton, two and a quarter miles northwest of Darlington. He was born in Germany, and came to this country at the age of 30. He made his home most of the time in Crawfordsville, and has been a member of the Methodist church here for a number of years. He was 78 years, 9 months and 23 days old. The funeral will be held at the house at 10 o'clock on Friday morning, Dec. 21, 1894. - thanks to Kim H
